Brief Diet History
The diet industry is always changing. Low carb, low fat, no fat, no sugar, glycemic index, yo-yo diets, and all kinds of pills have been on a cycle since the 1940’s. Diets have always followed trends: whatever is popular is what everyone is selling. It doesn’t always matter to these companies whether or not the products work, as long as there is a profit. The growth of the diet industry is astronomical, more than tripling in the past decade. The low carb diet plans are on their way out, and low fat is making its way back slowly. We have not seen a weight loss plan devised the way the Weekend Warrior Plan is to date. This plan is based on eating well while you work, and relaxing when it’s time to. It is not a trendy diet. It is a way of life that is easy to follow and allows you to lose weight, lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and promote a more active, productive, and happier lifestyle.
